QUANTITATIVE SKILLS

A knowledge of quantitative techniques and tools available to support process analysis and improvement and decision making, and when and how they should be applied, can lead to significantly improved processes and decisions.

Having earned a B.Sc. in Engineering Science and an M.Sc. in Quantitative Business Analysis from The Pennsylvania State University, a Ph.D. in Operations Research/Management Science from Yale University, and having taught related subjects at the university level and used them in industry, Phil is skilled at selecting, using and developing:

• Simulation models for evaluating decision alternatives involving uncertain environments or results
• Optimization and sensitivity analysis tools to identify good alternatives
• Combining the two approaches so as to identify good alternatives in environments with uncertain environments or results
